So… I’m not watching any TV. Well I don’t watch TV normally, but now I’m really not watching TV. I usually watch one or two shows a week either on or offline, and now, with the strike, everything is down to reruns… and you still get the ads. sigh.

The part talking about modding Rock Band instruments is pretty good.

The backstory for this is that my office is hiring an intern. This intern is a girl. There are no other girls in the office.

Bet 1: The girl will get her own office. I have this idea because no one will assign her to any of the shared offices (of which there are several). Instead, she will get her own office.

Bet 2: The girl will not make 3 Junxion Boxes. This is because I think that she will never do this or be taught, but instead have her time consumed with working for the marketing team who doesnt really know what they want.

My boss wants her to work in my office (which is ok with me), but others in the office want her to have her own office. I have ante’d one lunch per bet to anywhere on the Ave and I will pay. In order to get two lunches, the girl must work in my shared office and build 3 Junxion Boxes.

Heh heh heh. She starts next Tuesday. The game is afoot.

I have been going to ALOT (ie, more than one a month) of parties this month. Every weekend is filled with a party of some kind. It’s actually been good cuz I have been able to see alot of my Enforcer friends.

This weekend will be a cookie exchange. That will be interesting.

1. I got a speeding ticket. I was going 85 in a 65. That is a 242USD ticket. Since I got the ticket in Oregon… there is no deferral. I am going to write a letter to the judge and explain the circumstances.

2. I5 closed. I stayed at a hotel in Longview that smelled like a smoker was in it even though the room was non smoking. I got to watch alot of TV …

3. I drove 12E to 90W which took a really long time. This actually wasnt that bad and I got alot of good pictures. The bad part was the amount of time that it took. I did get some good pictures of the route:

And I went to the restaurant called Dooby’s in the middle of nowhere and had a great burger and fries:

4. I got a flat tire. Again. Seriously, this is the third one in the last 3 months. I have been averaging one a month. Im sending this bill to the city or DOT. This was in the same spot as my crash a year ago. I was going to pull off in the same spot as my crash, but I opted to drive on my rim a bit and not be in the EXACT same spot.

5. My house flooded. My room and the storage room flooded over the weekend that I was gone and there is water and mildew. Good times.

Yea… so…. thats all i have to say.

I am working from a coffeeshop today and it has been really good. I am rethinking my training methods.

These videos were done on the camera on a MacBook Pro. We will be working on upgrading that and now that I have real editing software, things will look a bit more professional. My friend Jesse did the original films but is now in Portland.

So then. …

1. I call customer support on the 24th of October at 550pm. I speak with “Jack” and I ask for a redownload. After verifying my order number he tells me that the link will be emailed to me within 24 hours.

I wait 24 hours and still no email from Adobe. I even check my spam folder. So… I wait till the morning of the 26th and I call back.

2. I speak to Vincent and he says that the email will come in an hour.

I wait two hours and still no email.

I am PISSED.

3. I called back two hours later and talked to “mumble mumble i - cant - understand the name”. He says that my order was actually a “Try and Buy” to which I tell him that he is incorrect and my order is actually a “Adobe Photoshop CS2 Upgrade for Windows.” He then puts me on hold to research the issue… then he guides me to the receipt page and has me click on the link in my receipt, to which I tell him that that link does not include a software link, but links to training videos. The representative puts me on hold again. He then tells me that the link will be delivered in 15 minutes. End of call number three.

After waiting about 10 minutes, the email was in my inbox. Was that so hard? I’m still annoyed.

I click on the link and I get a 404 error…I even try filling in the FTP link to browser and manually putting in the information. I get a 530 error.

4. I call back and I get transferred to technical support after explaining that the link doesnt work… I got transferred to Ronnie…. who transferred me to “Main Tech Support”. I wait on hold for about … 25 minutes and I get transferred to the download manager… who offered to send a CD that would take 7 business days. I told him that that was unacceptable as that would be too long to receive a product.. I then get transferred to customer support and I retell my story. The customer support agent transfers me to her supervisor who resolved the issue by fixing an error in the URL that was sent to me. Total call length 1 hour and 12 minutes. 6 transfers.

Then I send out emails like this one: 1up
